The Kern County Employees' Retirement Association Board of Retirement aims to provide a dependable source of retirement income to employees and the beneficiaries of employees of the County of Kern and participating special districts. When combined with your personal savings and Social Security benefits, the KCERA benefits help to provide you with a financially secure retirement.
We have developed this retirement benefits information booklet to assist you in understanding your retirement benefits. It describes the benefits to which you and your family may be entitled.
This information booklet only summarizes the main features of your retirement system. Detailed information on the benefits is in the County Employees' Retirement Law of 1937. If there is any difference between this summary and the Retirement Law of 1937, the provisions of the law will apply.
If you have any questions concerning your retirement benefits, please contact the KCERA office at (661) 868-3790 or toll free at (800) 548-0738.
