Northern Trust Northern Trust Company serves as custodian bank for the KCERA. All retirement, death or disability allowances are paid directly by the Northern Trust Company. If you have questions about your retirement account, you should contact the KCERA office. However, you may contact Northern Trust directly for address changes, electronic fund transfer changes, Federal and State tax-withholding changes, or to report a missing or stolen check.
Direct Deposit You can reduce the risk of loss or theft of your retirement check by signing up for electronic fund transfer (EFT). With EFT, your retirement check is electronically transferred to your financial institution and credited directly to your account. There is no need for a printed paper check to be sent through the mail. However, for each direct deposit, a remittance advice showing the amount of deposit, deductions and other information is sent to your last-known home address by regular mail. Direct deposit enrollment forms are available from the KCERA office or from Northern Trust, KCERA's payroll agent. This site is intended for general purposes only.
