New Federal Tax Withholding Form W-4P Starting January 1st
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) revised the federal tax withholding form W-4P in 2022. Beginning January 1, 2023 changes to your tax withholding can be done through your KCERA member portal account or by submitting the new IRS form W-4P for Federal withholding and form DE 4P for California tax withholding.
Refer to IRS Publication 15-T available at www.irs.gov for more information about the redesigned federal tax withholding form. You may also obtain a copy of Internal Revenue Service Publication 575 (“Pension and Annuity Income”) or visit www.irs.gov for more information on the taxation of your retirement benefit.
