Mr. Brown directs Board operations, oversees KCERA’s investment program, and provides leadership for the administration of all KCERA operations. Before joining KCERA in 2016 as the Assistant Executive Director, he spent eight years as a division chief in the office of the Kern County Auditor-Controller. Earlier in his career, he was an assistant controller at Lennar Homes and worked at multiple CPA firms. Mr. Brown previously served one term on the board of KCERA, including one year as Chairman. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) from Biola University and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner.
