Ms. Kruger is responsible for all of KCERA’s pension accounting and financial reporting, including oversight and preparation of KCERA’s ACFR and annual budget.  She began working for Kern County as a Library Student Aide and then an Account Clerk at Kern Medical.  After earning a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance) from California State University Bakersfield, she returned to county service as an Auditor – Appraiser, spending six years auditing local businesses and performing cash flow valuations on some of Kern County’s largest oil and gas properties.  Ms. Kruger transferred to KCERA in 2012 as an Accountant, promoting to Chief Financial Officer in 2019.
