Security Upgrade for the KCERA Member Portal
In an effort to protect our members, KCERA will be adding another layer of security to the member portal login process. Beginning in July 2023, after you successfully enter your username and password, you will be sent a unique code via a phone call or text message. You will have 10 minutes to access and enter the code into the portal log-in. Only after entering the correct code will you be able to access your KCERA portal account. This process is called 2-factor authentication and is aimed at verifying that the individual accessing the account is the authorized user.
Do you have an existing member portal account? KCERA strongly recommends logging into your account and verifying your phone number and email address. If either of these needs to be corrected or is no longer available to you, please update your information before the end of May. KCERA also recommends that you use your personal phone number and email address. Verifying your information will ensure uninterrupted access to your account after July 3rd, 2023.
Not a portal user? Now is a great time to create an account. For active and deferred members, you can see your employment history and run retirement and purchase of service estimates. For pensioners, you will have access to your monthly payment remittance and can manage your address, tax, and payment instructions quickly and easily. To create an account, you will need to know your member key and have access to the email account that is on file with KCERA. If you need to update your email address, please complete an Address/Direct Deposit Request and Change Form or an Email Change Form. These can be downloaded from KCERA Forms Page. Remember to include a copy of your current driver’s license or state-issued ID when you return your completed and signed form to KCERA.
