Upcoming Election 12/6/22 - KCERA Board of Retirement 

An election for the third member (general), eighth member and alternate eighth member (retirees) of the KCERA Board of Retirement will be held on December 6, 2022, for terms of office ending December 31. Declarations of Candidacy for candidates desiring to file may be obtained from the Elections Division, Administrative Center, 1115 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield. The nomination period runs from October 3-19. If the incumbent fails to fail, there will be an extension period from October 19-25. The Write-in Candidate Filing Period will be from October 26 – November 22.

The election will be conducted by mail. Ballots and ballot return envelopes will be mailed no later than November 21, 2022, to all members of the KCERA eligible to vote. Voted ballots must be received at the Elections Division no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 6, in order to be counted in the election. The vote will be canvassed in the Elections Division, Administrative Center, 1115 Truxtun Avenue, commencing at 8:00 a.m. on December 9.
